Baseball Recap: Cushing Has No Trouble Against Mannford

While Cushing put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Mannford. The Tigers blew past the Pirates 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cushing is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mannford, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Cushing will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
