On Friday Wayland take on Newton South at 6:00 PM. Wayland have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Newton South might have their hands full.
Wayland got themselves on the board against Concord-Carlisle last Friday, but Concord-Carlisle never followed suit. Wayland steamrollered Concord-Carlisle 35-0. Followers of Wayland probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Newton South made easy work of Boston Latin and carried off a 43-14 win. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Newton South's flat performance the matchup before.
Their wins bumped Newton South to 2-2 and Wayland to 3-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Newton South and Wayland will really light up the scoreboard.
