Not much got past Jackson Bennett, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Spring Hill off the board. Bennett has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryder Blackwood, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecil Williams, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Eagleville won against Culleoka on Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Brody Gleason was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Gleason was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Adrian Sevieri was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Sam Dodd was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Eagleville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Eagleville and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Summertown, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
