The Walsh Jesuit Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Solon Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Walsh Jesuit is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Solon in Ohio (Walsh Jesuit is ranked 167th, while Solon is ranked 373rd).
Last Friday, Walsh Jesuit came up short against Louisville and fell 56-44. Walsh Jesuit has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Solon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 50-45 to Nordonia.
Walsh Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Solon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Walsh Jesuit didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Solon in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walsh Jesuit since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
