 Bellevue East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jackson Myers, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.  Bayler Truax also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
 Meanwhile, Westview faced Elkhorn South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wolverines came up short against  the Storm, falling  11-3. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Bellevue East, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
 Bellevue East was able to grind out a solid  victory over Westview in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, winning  6-1. Will the Chieftains repeat their success,  or do  the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
