After two games on the road, Little Elm is heading back home. They will take on the Guyer Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Little Elm pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between Little Elm and McKinney wasn't particularly close, with Little Elm falling 75-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (58), Little Elm still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Shiloh Kimpson, who scored 24 points along with three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Amina Diallo was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Guyer suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-42 walloping at the hands of Prosper. While losing is never fun, Guyer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Prosper is ranked 49th).
Little Elm's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 23-7. As for Guyer, they bumped their record down to 8-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Little Elm was able to grind out a solid victory over Guyer in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 67-56. Will Little Elm repeat their success, or does Guyer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
