SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Southaven (Miss.) held on for a 17-14 victory over
Trezevant (Memphis, Tenn.) on Saturday. The difference for the Chargers was that
Ryan Robbins kicked a field goal.
The Bears pulled ahead on a touchdown pass by
Jordan Spencer to
Martavious Johnson, and subsequently went into halftime leading 8-0. The Chargers took the lead to win the game on a field goal by Robbins in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Southaven still trailed by six points going into the fourth quarter. But three points in the fourth helped SHS pull out the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Trezevant, which notched a 42-0 victory over Frayser in its previous outing.
