Campbell will venture away from home to challenge the Belmont Red Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Campbell's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Belmont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Campbell will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Hopkinton on Monday. Campbell came out on top against Hopkinton by a score of 10-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Campbell hasn't had any issues with Hopkinton recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Nate Federico made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Federico was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Braydon White was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Michael Grace was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Belmont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Derryfield 4-3.
Like Campbell, Belmont also got a great game from a two-way player: Wyatt Divers. He tossed nine innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Divers was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Bamford, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
Campbell's record now sits at 4-2. As for Belmont, their record is now 5-1.
Campbell suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Belmont in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can Campbell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
