Pleasant Ridge will challenge Horton on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.
After a dominant win in their game two weeks ago, Pleasant Ridge were humbled last Friday. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the squad lost 28-29 to Nemaha Central. Pleasant Ridge got a solid performance out of senior Colton Comer, who rushed for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Comer has been a consistent playmaker for Pleasant Ridge as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Horton have to be hurting after a devastating 12-44 loss at the hands of Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy. Horton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-30.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
