The Wheeling Park Patriots had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against John Marshall as Wheeling Park made off with a 31-7 win. With Wheeling Park ahead 28-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Wheeling Park was led to victory by Aiden Davis and Amare Johnson. Davis threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes, while Johnson rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Keohn Stephens jr did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wheeling Park's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. As for John Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Wheeling Park will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. John Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
