While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, the Sutton Sammies were not quite the Uxbridge Spartans's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Sutton took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uxbridge. Sutton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Uxbridge apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Several Sammies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cam Benedict, who scored 12 points. Chase Gara was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Sutton's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1. As for Uxbridge, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
