The contest was Hulett's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kelcee Dye, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leetonia bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.4 points per game. As for Mineral Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leetonia will take on Columbiana at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbiana presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leetonia in Ohio (Columbiana is ranked 149th, while Leetonia is ranked 805th). As for Mineral Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Reserve at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
