The third road game was the charm for the Phil Campbell Bobcats, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past Winston County, posting a 67-37 win on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Phil Campbell also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2018.
Despite the defeat, Winston County saw an underclassman step up: Lynleigh Cobb dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Cobb scored a full 43.2% of Winston County's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Phil Campbell's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Winston County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phil Campbell will challenge Phillips at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winston County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carbon Hill at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th.
