After a string of 30 wins dating back to last season, the Moravian Prep Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christ School. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Moravian Prep has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christ School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madden Collins, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Zymicah Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Moravian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 15-1. As for Christ School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Moravian Prep will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Millbrook at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Millbrook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Moravian Prep is ranked first). Christ School and Myers Park will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Myers Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
