San Jon/Grady took an ego-bruising defeat against Elida last Saturday, but they kept their chin up and bounced back on Friday. San Jon/Grady had enough points to win and then some against Floyd on Friday, taking their game 45-26. The victory was some much needed relief for San Jon/Grady as it spelled the end of their three-game losing streak.
The contest started off well for San Jon/Grady, whose offense put up 25 first-half points. Floyd wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 25-14 heading into the break. The offense for San Jon/Grady continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 20 points to put the game away.
The win got San Jon/Grady back to even at 4-4. This is the second loss in a row for Floyd and nudges their record down to 2-5. Both of these squads appear to be finished for the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
