Volleyball Recap: Cabell Midland Beats Hurricane for Their Fourth Straight Win

Cabell Midland entered their tilt with Hurricane on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Redskins by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on October 6th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cabell Midland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaycee Bowen, who had ten digs. That's the most digs Bowen has posted over her last six matches. Another player making a difference was Carley Brewster, who had nine digs and two assists.

Despite the defeat, Hurricane saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sloane Mcclellan had four digs and three aces.

Cabell Midland's victory bumped their record up to 37-5-1. As for Hurricane, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-22-2.

Cabell Midland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Riverside on the 25th. As for Hurricane, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Huntington on the 25th.
