Troy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over the Atchison County Tigers. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Tigers are ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Atchison County had strong showings from Kinzee Bauerle, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Ava Speer, who posted ten points. That was a full 56.1% of Atchison County's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Addison Crockett also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Troy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Atchison County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Troy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 81-20 victory against McLouth on the 14th. Atchison County has also already played their next game (against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
