The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 59-20 loss at the hands of Ozanam. Guadalupe Centers was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
When it comes to explaining why Guadalupe Centers lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Torres. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Talan Olmstead was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds for Ozanam. Olmstead is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Skylar Horn, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Guadalupe Centers dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ozanam, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
