The Manning Monarchs won the last time they faced the Aynor Blue Jackets, and things went their way on Thursday too. Manning was the clear victor by a 56-32 margin over the Blue Jackets. Given Manning's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Blue Jackets are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Robinson Mendez and Lucas Kamp certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mendez scored ten points, while Kamp scored 12 points.
Manning is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Aynor, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manning will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dillon is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Aynor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Waccamaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Wednesday.
