The Coweta Tigers will square off against the McAlester Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coweta will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McAlester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Smith, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown. Smith got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 82 yards.
McAlester's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Smith, Jaxon Mckinney, and Mckinney picked up one apiece. McAlester got some further help from Fyfer Mitchell: he made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
Coweta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for McAlester, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coweta barely slipped by McAlester in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, winning 28-27. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was McAlester's Caden Lesnau, who threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 98 yards.
