The Fairview Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-11 loss at the hands of East Carter. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fairview in their matchups with East Carter: they've now lost seven in a row.
East Carter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Savannah Adams led the charge by scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Adams has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Hall, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for East Carter, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Fairview will head out on the road to challenge Adams County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairview comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for East Carter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Elliott County at 7:30 p.m.
