Paulsboro extended the longest winning streak in Colonial - Patriot this week by beating Haddon Township, 33-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Gateway Regional lost to Haddon Heights 32-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Antonio Perez ran for 55 yards in the defeat.
Paulsboro's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JIMMY SCHMIDT threw for 135 yards and ALAN CHILDRESS had 73 yards receiving. On the ground DE'SHAUN BURGESS contributed 151 yards. STEVEN BAYLOR helped Paulsboro's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 45 yards.
BURGESS was a passing and rushing force as Glenn Howard's team topped the Hawks. BURGESS's key target this week was CHILDRESS, who caught 3 passes for 73 yards.
CHILDRESS was the best receiver in the league this week as the Red Raiders defeated Haddon Township. BAYLOR helped Paulsboro's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 45 yards.
Paulsboro's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. SCHMIDT has thrown for 246 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while BAYLOR has 16 catches for 186 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Audubon takes on Paulsboro. The Green Wave are currently in third, while the Red Raiders are in first.
Lindenwold made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,647 from 12,731. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 50-27 victory over the Lions last week.
