El Modena won the last time they faced Canyon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vanguards came out on top against the Comanches by a score of 4-1. The victory was nothing new for the Vanguards as they're now sitting on four straight.
Ashley Driskill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, El Modena let Parker Mayes and Lucy Mitchell run wild. Mayes got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, while Mitchell went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
