Two dominant backs in Isaiah Smart and Richaard Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Bulloch Academy Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Andrew's Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bulloch Academy will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
Last Thursday, Bulloch Academy strolled past Frederica Academy with points to spare, taking the game 35-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bulloch Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Aaron, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Danye Garvin, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's came up short against Pinewood Christian on Friday and fell 35-27.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amari Cook, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Williams, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Bulloch Academy's victory lifted them to 8-0 while St. Andrew's defeat dropped them down to 5-3.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the pair have no problem gaining yardage. Bulloch Academy has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 420.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like St. Andrew's struggles in that department as they've been averaging 367.5 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Bulloch Academy came up short against St. Andrew's in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 30-26. Will Bulloch Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road?
