The Clarkton Reindeer will head out to square off against the Campbell Camels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clarkton has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Clarkton is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Puxico just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 22-9 to the Indians.

Tabby Rivera was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Rivera is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Raylee Harmon also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Campbell). They were the clear victors by a 30-21 margin over Richland on Wednesday. The Camels not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 16-1).
Kaitlyn Weidenbenner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
In other batting news, Campbell got a massive performance out of Ryann Durham, who went 5-for-7 with ten RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs Durham has posted since back in April. Monica Serrano was another key player, getting on base in all seven of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI.
Campbell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Campbell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-22 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Clarkton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Clarkton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .629. However, it's not like Campbell struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clarkton skirted past Campbell 11-10 in their previous meeting last Wednesday. Will the Reindeer repeat their success, or do the Camels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
