The Grind Prep G.R.I.N.D will be playing at home against the Life Prep Fire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grind Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 345 points over their last five matches.
Even though Universal Academy scored an imposing 64 points on Thursday, Grind Prep still came out on top. Grind Prep took their contest against the 72-64. Given Grind Prep's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked seventh in Oklahoma, while the are ranked 410th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Life Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Garden City.
Grind Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Life Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
