Greenbrier Christian Academy won against Chincoteague last Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Gators didn't even let the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors on the board, marking the Gators' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Gators have won 18 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Katelyn Balka was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Balka was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Cora Smith was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Bayleigh Kaliher was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory (which was Greenbrier Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 23-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Greenbrier Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Broadwater Academy on the 9th. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they will square off against Brunswick Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
