Marietta had to start their season on the road  on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took  a  57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Cities Bulldogs.  Marietta lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Kyann Senior, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 15  rebounds.  Mckenzie Everett was another key player,  going 5 for 12 en route to 14 points plus six  steals.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Cities to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Emari Benton, who  went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points plus four  steals and two  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Morris, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and ten  rebounds.
 Marietta will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Lithia Springs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Tri-Cities, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they face off against  Marist  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
