Breckenridge hasn't had much luck against Jim Ned recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Buckaroos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians  at 7:00  p.m.
Breckenridge is likely headed into the  matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Clyde on Friday. The Buckaroos fell  22-14 to the Bulldogs.
Although Breckenridge took the loss, they still got scores from  Jaime Cruz and  Cameron David.
 Even if they lost, Breckenridge's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. In that department,  Glen Thibodeaux was the leader with two.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Jim Ned). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Comanche 56-3. The  win was familiar territory for Jim Ned, who have now won three  contests in a row.
Breckenridge better keep an eye on  Cash Gwinn. He was instrumental in Jim Ned's win, throwing for 283 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards and one  score. Those  283  passing yards gave  Gwinn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Garon Beasley, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.
 Jim Ned's run defense was locked in: Comanche could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. While five picked up at least five  total tackles,  Beasley stood above the rest. He picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Jim Ned's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.03 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.73 on average over their last five games.
 Jim Ned didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Camden Lewis and  Breck Lawson. Jim Ned got some further help from  Aiden Ellis: he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Breckenridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jim Ned, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's   game might be decided on the ground. Breckenridge has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 148.7  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jim Ned struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 156.7  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
