 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lincoln Northeast was moving up and down the field and  finished the game with 431  total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bryan only gained 172.
 Meanwhile, Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight  defeat. They were beaten by Buena Vista 34-6.
 Lincoln Northeast's victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0. As for Benson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Lincoln Northeast strolled past Benson in their previous meeting  back in September of 2017 by a score of  29-14. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Benson's  Mesiah Block, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 69 receiving yards and a touchdown.
