The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Southampton Academy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will be strutting in after a win while Southampton Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot faced Fuqua in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot claimed a resounding 45-6 victory over Fuqua on the road. The result was nothing new for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Southampton Academy were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Broadwater Academy by a score of 14-12.
Despite the loss, Southampton Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ethan Webb rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Southampton Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot against Southampton Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 as the team secured a 62-28 win.
