If the Fordham Prep Rams were feeling good off their 73-42 takedown of the Kennedy Catholic Gaels last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fordham Prep took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stevenson on Wednesday. It was the first time this season that Fordham Prep let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Fordham Prep still got an impressive performance from Matthew Kapfer, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. The match was Kapfer's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Charles Panarella, who scored 11 points.
Fordham Prep's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Stevenson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fordham Prep will take on LaSalle Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stevenson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monroe Campus at 5:00 p.m. on January 4th. One thing working in Monroe Campus' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
