Worthington Kilbourne had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Westerville North on Tuesday. The Wolves blew past the Warriors 3-0.
While Worthington Kilbourne won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 28-26.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Westerville South's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Francis DeSales.
While Westerville South had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-20, 25-22.
Westerville South's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Worthington Kilbourne, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
Worthington Kilbourne was able to grind out a solid victory over Westerville South in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
