Eagle Ridge Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Dawson School Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Eagle Ridge Academy's 21-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. Their tough 54-31 defeat to DSST: Green Valley Ranch on Thursday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Eagle Ridge Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while DSST: Green Valley Ranch is ranked 22nd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tiden Silver-Colbert, who scored 11 points.
Eagle Ridge Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as DSST: Green Valley Ranch pulled down 14.
Meanwhile, Dawson School took a serious blow against Loveland Classical on Monday, falling 65-28. Dawson School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.
Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Eagle Ridge Academy's loss dropped theirs to 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Eagle Ridge Academy against Dawson School in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 72-35 win. Will Eagle Ridge Academy repeat their success, or does Dawson School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
