The Bowen Boilermakers's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They slipped by Hubbard 33-32. The score was all tied up 15-15 at the break, but Bowen was the better team in the second half.
Bowen found their leader in underclassman Kimora Myles, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. D'Mya Adams was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win got Bowen back to even at 1-1. As for Hubbard, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Bowen will be playing in front of their home fans against Longwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Longwood comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hubbard, they will head out on the road to face off against Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Tilden is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
