Basketball Recap: Cypress Creek Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If River Ridge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cypress Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Shane Callahan. The Cypress Creek Coyotes took down the River Ridge Royal Knights 70-55 on Thursday thanks in part to Callahan, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, River Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jacob Yeager, who posted 27 points and seven rebounds. Ashton Adams was another key player, putting up four points and six assists.

Cypress Creek's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for River Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Cypress Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-49 victory against Land O' Lakes on the 31st. River Ridge has also already played their next game, an 82-58 defeat against Mitchell on the 31st.
