Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Sutton Sammies, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-20 walloping at the hands of KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate on Friday. Sutton's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Landon Dulmaine and Josh Farrell certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Dulmaine picked up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Farrell gained 80 total yards and a touchdown. Dulmaine was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 60 yards.
Sutton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutton will challenge Millbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Millbury is ranked 180th, while Sutton is ranked 196th). As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, they will head out on the road to face off against Carver at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Carver is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
