Mike Lester gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March of 2024 on Wednesday. He made a splash, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against New Plymouth back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Lester has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
