The Sonora Broncos lost against the Forsan Buffaloes back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sonora was the victim of a tough 61-39 loss at the hands of the Buffaloes. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sonora in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Sonora still got an impressive performance from Jayla Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jezabel Pasillas, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Sonora has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season. As for Forsan, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonora will take on the Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Christoval is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Forsan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
