After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bremond, the Dawson Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They breezed by Hubbard at home to the tune of 46-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Dawson has posted since December 8, 2023.
Leading Dawson to victory were Callie Marberry and Laura Ruiz. Marberry scored ten points along with six steals, while Ruiz scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ruiz has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joselynn Wilson, who scored four points along with five steals.
Dawson's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Hubbard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Dawson will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Axtell at 6:00 p.m. Axtell comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hubbard, they will head out on the road to challenge Marlin at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlin is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
