Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Has No Trouble Against Commerce

Sequoyah won the last time they faced Commerce and things went their way on Tuesday too. Sequoyah was the clear victor by a 16-3 margin over Commerce. Considering the Eagles have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sequoyah has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. Commerce is on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will challenge Chelsea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Commerce, they have already played their next matchup, an 18-0 defeat against Salina on the 26th.
