After flying high against Cypress Creek last Thursday, University came back down to earth. The Cougars took a 78-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eustis Panthers on Friday. Eustis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Glover out in front who went 7-for-12 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Glover is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Jaiden Palma was another key player, shooting 54% from the field to rack up 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
Having lost for the first time this season, University fell to 2-1. As for Eustis, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Looking ahead, University will take on Central Florida Christian Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Eustis, they will venture away from home to take on Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
