Softball Recap: Woodcreek Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reed, Woodcreek was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Roseville Tigers 12-1. Considering the Timberwolves have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Woodcreek got a massive performance out of Chloe Preuss, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Preuss a new career-high. Nicole Fonti was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Woodcreek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Roseville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodcreek will welcome East Nicolaus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roseville, they will take on Twelve Bridges at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
