Basketball Recap: Ayonna Lewis and Paris George Secure Win for South Broward

South Broward won the last time they faced South Plantation and things went their way on Wednesday too. The South Broward Bulldogs took down the South Plantation Paladins 46-31.

Leading South Broward to victory were Paris George and Ayonna Lewis. George went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Lewis dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Lewis has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah McCandies, who posted four points.

South Broward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for South Plantation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

South Broward will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Broward at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. South Plantation will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Spanish River at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. South Plantation is facing Spanish River at the right time seeing as Spanish River is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
