The Naaman Forest Rangers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 49-44 victory over South Garland on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Naaman Forest also won the last time the pair played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why South Garland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Darden. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Darden's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jakius Greene was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Naaman Forest's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for South Garland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Naaman Forest will be home for the holidays to greet Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wylie is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for South Garland, they will head out on the road to face off against Sachse at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Sachse's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while South Garland has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
