Leading Sipsey Valley to victory were Ayden Abernathy and Lj Cormier. Abernathy gained 174 total yards and two touchdowns, while Cormier threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns. Cormier is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Carter Renn was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Hale County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Sipsey Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hale County will head out on the road to face off against Gordo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gordo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 275 points over their last six contests.
