The Van Wert Cougars will look to defend their home field on Friday against the River Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Van Wert will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Van Wert can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over Elida.
Brylen Parker got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 162 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Reese Krugh, who gained 141 total yards.
Meanwhile, River Valley fell victim to Clear Fork's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a 8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, River Valley couldn't push the score so high this time.
Van Wert's win bumped their season record to 7-3 while River Valley's loss dropped theirs to 4-6.
