Basketball Recap: Homer-Center Piles Up the Points Against Cambria Heights

There's no place like home for Homer-Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Cambria Heights Highlanders 56-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wildcats have posted since December 27, 2024.

Max Voyda continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. What's more, he also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Angelo Alexander was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Homer-Center was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cambria Heights only racked up six assists.

Defeat or not, Cambria Heights got some senior leadership from Isaac Weiland and Garrett Jasper. Weiland posted 13 points, while Jasper had seven points and six boards.

Homer-Center is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Cambria Heights, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Homer-Center has already played their next contest, a 71-39 win against Purchase Line on the 28th. As for Cambria Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-39 defeat against Northern Cambria on the 28th.
