The Edgewood Red Wolves will take on the Brevard Christian War Eagles in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brevard Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Edgewood, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Edgewood strolled past Space Coast with points to spare, taking the game 49-32. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Red Wolves this season.

Edgewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Trexler led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Trexler a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Santiago Jimenez, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and six steals.
Edgewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Brevard Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pineapple Cove Classical Academy. The contest marked the War Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Edgewood will need focus on slowing down Samuel Mitchell, one of several Brevard Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He had 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Williams, who posted six points and 14 rebounds.
Edgewood now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brevard Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Edgewood has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Brevard Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Edgewood was able to grind out a solid win over Brevard Christian in their previous matchup back in November, winning 66-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edgewood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
