The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lathrop, who took down 885th ranked Lathrop, 34-7. Nick McGill in the win.
East Union moved up to 737 from 913 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Valley Oak. The Lancers were able to make the jump by beating the Spartans 34-7.
Manteca's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Fox threw for 60 yards and TJ Galdos had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Eddie Smith chipped in 200 yards. Alex Garlets helped Manteca's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Brandon Dabney made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Buffaloes beat Kimball. The 5-foot-11 junior recorded one fumble.
Manteca's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Buffaloes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Fox has thrown for 286 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Galdos has 16 catches for 255 yards. Smith leads the league in rushing with 650 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sierra takes on East Union. As it stands, the Timberwolves are in first, while Willie Herrera's team is in seventh.
Sonora was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Valley Oak. Earlier in the week, the Wildcats triumphed over Weston Ranch 41-15.
